"And so it begins...Countdown"

So it's official! I have the date in which I am moving out of BG and into the Big Apple: September 1st! I know I've been telling everyone "the first week of September," but I didn't realize that when my parents were booking the flight (I was trying to be nice so they could plan around their schedule) that it would actually be the FIRST of September. So the clock is ticking, the countdown has begun! I am incredibly excited, but anxious as well. This will be the greatest move I have ever made. The longest I have been away from home was 3 weeks for Governor's School for the Arts and that was in Lexington, so still in state! It will be interesting...but in a good way!

I think the saddest part about Mom booking the flight for us is when she told me she had to cancel one of the flights. I asked her why, and her response was, "Well, I booked 3 round-trip flights..." This was the first real blow to reality about the whole moving thing, because only Mom and Dad will be coming home, I will not. Don't get me wrong, I have been waiting for the big NYC move for a long time, but it is just crazy to me that it is actually happening! Miss Homebody-Me is taking the plunge and moving to the largest city in the world!!!

So please, keep me in your prayers while I am packing up my things and getting everything together! New York City, here I come!!!
